ASTON MARTIN DB9 V12 2dr [470] (2008)

The Aston Martin DB9: a great car, at a painful price!

I bought my Aston Martin DB9 several years ago and although I have had some wonderful times driving it, and I know objectively it's a great car, I will have to sell it soon as it is causing problems with my back. Obviously this won't be the case for everyone but be warned: the DB9 is very low and it could be an issue for you. Probably best bought in anticipation of a mid-life crisis rather than during one, so you have a bit of time to adapt to the driving position.

Other than that the Aston DB9 really is a great car. It's not exactly efficient but I drive it as my main car purely because it makes me feel so great. I get about 14mpg which is obviously not good. Great performance even in an urban setting as you can pretty much dodge in and out of traffic as the acceleration is so easily done.

Reliability wise I've had very few problems, and those that I have had have been sorted under warranty without issue. The driving position is the main problem, and the fuel efficiency is pretty criminal but what do you expect from such a great sports car?
