CATERHAM SUPER SEVENS 1.6 150 Roadsport 2dr (2010)

Caterham Super Seven - The perfect track weapon

Owning a Caterham isn't about comfort, mpg or running costs, it's all about performance. The Caterham is primarily a track day car; it has no roof, no real structure and slick tyres. It is a racing car. I love a bit of track day action and wanted a car that was cheap but still quick and agile enough to keep up - and I found the Caterham website.

Seriously, you won't believe how quick these things are. Because the Caterham Super Seven weighs about the same as a toaster, they don't need massive engines to still go fast. They just do with what they've got and fly past Porsches and other exotica. I've taken it around Rockingham, Brands Hatch and Spa and every single time it has taken my breath away. This car can seriously compete.

If you want out and out performance you're probably best going for an Ariel Atom, but if you just want a way into motorsport and fancy something cheerful and still quick, the Caterham is the perfect partner for those weekends away.
