CHRYSLER YPSILON 1.3 M-Jet SE 5dr (2011)

Amazing economy, literally haven't filled it up for a month

I know it's a bit early to be banging on about how great my car is, my dad always says a new car isn't worth raving about for at least 5 years, but let's just put that to one side shall we.... I LOVE my Chrysler Ypsilon (apart from the silly name). It's small on the outside but got loads of space, and lots of fancy features, on the inside.

And the best bit is that it uses hardly any fuel. The paperwork says 74 miles a gallon, which I can believe actually. We changed to this from a Toyota Yaris, which was pretty good (I think about 40MPG) but seriously, this is a whole different league. As an added bonus, because of that the tax is FREE, woopwoop!

We got the sunroof option on our Chrysler Ypsilon, which is just brilliant. It's so big, and you can see things like traffic lights without having to bend awkwardly. The seating position up front is great as well, nice and high up, and the windows are all a good size so you can easily see round everywhere. The same was true of our dear old Yaris, so that was what we were comparing the Chrysler Ypsilon to.

One problem which I didn't really see coming on the test drive was the space in the back. The leg room is fine, but if you want to get anyone over about six foot in the back then they'll have their head knocking on the ceiling. For me that's a bit of a worry, what if we get rear ended? Their head would surely knock against the roof and that might damage their neck. I don't like the idea. Anyway we seldom have rear passengers apart from our daughter, and she's certainly not six foot!

I really like the gearbox position, nice and high up, easy to see what gear it's in all the time. But my hubby doesn't like it, says it's an odd angle and messes with his tennis elbow to keep his arm up on it. Worth doing a long test drive maybe.
