CITROEN C3 PLURIEL 1.4i 2dr [75] (2003)

Disappointing list of repairs, and stuff I can't really repair

To be perfectly honest I'd have to say avoid the Citroen C3 Pluriel. I think my list of complaints if fairly specific to this model, and I've not had experience of other Citroens, but the C3 Pluriel from my experience has been pretty poor.

The thing that's most annoying, actually it really makes you sad sometimes, is the leaking in the roof of the Citroen C3 Pluriel. The removable roof is a nice idea, but one of the little latches that clicks it into place has broken a bit, and now it leaks water in. Citroen have told me it needs a whole new roof! Meanwhile the passenger door leaks a bit too, and I think there are some other leaks here and there that I can't quite pinpoint, but it might just be those two. A leaking car just isn't the sort of thing that feels like it could be easily sorted, which is just depressing really.

One other big thing that scares me about the Citroen C3 Pluriel is that I'll be driving along and the engine just cuts out completely. It's not a regular thing, but in a way it would be better if it was regular, cos you get the feeling it's gone away and then it happens again, very hard to prepare yourself for. The gearbox is also kind of tricky and sometimes sticks on the motorway, not good.

I mean apart from the problems it's actually a decent enough car, quite versatile, good space inside, good visibility and ok fuel economy, all that sort of thing, it's just pretty much ruined by these ongoing problems, which do seem like design faults more than problems that have just happened on mine.
