DAEWOO KALOS 1.4 Blue 5dr (2003)

The Daewoo Kalos - just a bit too normal for me.

If you want a half decent car that gets you from A to B with reasonable consistency and reliability, then the Daewoo Kalos might just be the car from you. Unfortunately, I had had lots of cars like this, and I wanted something a little more exciting, so I was a bit disappointed when I got to know my Kalos.

Yes the Kalos was cheap to buy and is fairly roomy, it's reliable and quite cheap to run, but that's about where it ends. Whilst I think that the car looks good and is something a bit different, it's not terribly well built and the ride quality is pretty bad.

The handling is sub-par; sloppy and unrewarding, and it doesn't fare very well if you want to speed up and slow down a lot (i.e. in built-up areas). So take my advice and go for something with a bit more class. If you're just looking for a boring but reliable vehicle go buy a milk float.
