DODGE JOURNEY 2.0 CRD SXT 5dr Auto (2008)

The Dodge Journey - a manly MPV.

Frankly I though MPVs were a woman's sort of motor but I decided to compromise when I saw the Dodge Journey. It reeks of masculinity in the way that only an American car can. It looks like a monster truck on the outside and it feels like a limo on the inside.

I've got a load of kids and the thing I like most about the Journey is the fact that there's loads of nooks and crannies for them to shove their junk ('toys') when they're not playing with it. The storage space in the Dodge Journey is excellent and better than in any other MPV I'm familiar with. There is tonnes of space and it's really adaptable depending on what you want to do with it.

There are bad points, of course; the Journey is not cheap, but no Dodges are. This cost is not actually reflected in the quality of the interiors and many of the plastics are quite flimsy and tacky. The fuel economy is actually surprisingly good - make sure you get the diesel model and you just be alright - but of course it's an MPV so you can't expect much in this regard. Most of all, though, it gives a touch of machoness to the MPV field.
