DODGE RAM 5.7 V8 Hemi Laramie 4dr Auto (2005)
The Dodge Ram - don't mess with this car.
I've been a pick-up truck fan for a long time (since my pilgrimage to the southern United States twenty years ago) and I've owned a fair few, too. And when I saw a picture of the Dodge Ram I knew I had to add it to my collection. What a fantastic-looking vehicle it is. The name 'Ram' is definitely appropriate as this thing looks as though it could ram its way through a two-mile traffic jam in minutes.
The design of the Dodge Ram is a kind of arrogant, macho 'get a life' to climate change campaigners everywhere and the efficiency and carbon output of the beast pretty much solely justifies the Kyoto protocol. But if you haven't got a strong sense of moral obligation (or you read the environmental research selectively enough) then you'll find that you're actually buying something that is pretty good value in terms of inefficient cars.
Step inside the Dodge Ram, hoist yourself down behind the wheel and you'll feel like you're riding a rodeo bull all the way through the city. No-one at any junction is going to argue with you if you're driving this, and whilst for me it lacks the hillbilly charm of older pick-ups, it certainly is a force to be reckoned with.
