FIAT TIPO 1.4ie S 3dr (1993)

Fiat Tipo - A bargain bin beauty.

This car was a bit of a revelation when it first came out, really quite ahead of its time. I've still got mine and it's still going fairly strong. The design is very practical and there's plenty of room inside despite its deceptively small appearance. They are going for an absolute steal these days as well.

Of course it's a bit ugly but that's part of the Fiat Tipo's charm if you ask me. Call it retro if you must. Somebody described it to me as looking like a fag packet the other week and I must say they weren't far off. I do quite a few miles in it and of course it's needed a bit of work over the years but being fair - it's really been quite trustworthy.

Great fun to drive, good fuel economy, fairly comfortable and entirely practical - what more can you ask for? The Fiat Tipo has a lot of charm and although you probably won't want to pay a lot for one these days it's well worth a look if you want a cheap used car.
