HYUNDAI I10 1.1 Comfort 5dr (2008)

Almost as bog standard as they come - and all the better for it

It may be obvious, but I got this car because it was cheap, the other rivals were pushing the budget so I thought I'd give Hyundai a go. The thing I love is the space that it offers considering it is such a small car. The one thing is noticeable about the cabin is that it is very plain; but I only wanted something cheap, I was never after anything fancy so in that respect, it does the job well.

As I say, I wanted fairly cheap and no hassle, in this respect, the Hyundai i10 pretty much delivers, it was cheap to buy and insure and the road tax is nothing to worry about. I usually get 40mpg out of it which could probably be better but the savings I made everywhere else pretty much makes up for this.

What this car does really well is manage to be very nippy around town, another reason why I bought one. There's no hiding from the fact that the engine is very small but it does manage to get me around, harsh vibrations seem to kick in on extended motorway journeys of which I have made only very few. The drive isn't supposed to be amazing but it is by all means reasonable.

Overall the Hyundai i10 is a great cheap car, don't expect anything special, as long as you bear this in mind, it shouldn't disappoint.
