HYUNDAI XG30 3.0 V6 4dr Auto (2000)

I enjoy driving my XG30

I have traditionally bought European cars. This is because of my father who suggested this buying tactic. He said that American cars were unreliable, and Asian cars were suspicious to him. I decided to try a Hyundai after a friend had a good experience. I went to a dealer and described my needs. I wanted a comfortable family car that had reasonable power. We have a small caravan and we travel around Europe with it on most years.

I gave the Hyundai XG30 3.0 V6 a test drive. It felt fine to drive, not as 'big' feeling as some other saloon cars. I still enjoy this. It feels quite light to turn in circles, and to move in traffic and so on.

The Hyundai XG30 has many gadgets also. The seats are heated, which is very nice indeed. I am originally from Poland so I am used to the cold, but I do appreciate this kind of creature comfort. My husband is from Spain so he appreciates it more!

It is also very roomy inside. Our daughter is now fully grown and she is tall for a girl. She fits in fine in the back though. No problems.

I mentioned the heated seats. Another clever thing is the function on the windscreen that can remove mist. This is very helpful. The temperature control also works separately for the back passengers, so they can adjust to suit. All this seemed very luxurious for us. We had changed from an old Corsa.

One slightly annoying thing is that the boot can only be opened using the key, with a button. That means that nobody can get to the boot to put things in without the car key. That is good for security, but not so convenient.

Overall I am impressed, and it has been extremely reliable besides. We have had no major repairs needed.
