JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 3.0 CRD Limited 5dr Auto (2005)

Jeep Grand Cherokee - Pleasant.

The Grand Cherokee sounds really American, but in truth, Jeep has done its best to mask the Americanness. It feels European - which is a compliment - and looks European. And to be honest, it needs to, because it's up against 4x4s like the Range Rover and BMW X5.

Driving the Grand Cherokee is really rather good. It's comfortable without being sickly and firm but without being uncomfortable. When you need to push it round a bend you don't feel like you're going to die. It feels competent and capable.

Inside is slightly less successful. The sat-nav is quite poor and the seats don't hold you in like they should. The wood and leather is quite nice but it is nowhere near as good as a Range Rover.

I'd say buy a second hand model if you want one, as then you'll miss all the depreceiation. And go for a diesel!
