I bought the Land Rover Freelander 2 Sport last year and I'm glad I did. It is a lot better than the original thanks to its updated looks, interior and safety gizmos. I feel much safer in this one as I do have kids and they are my priority. There's lots of airbags and plus points to this car, and thanks to the dealer, we managed to get quite a big saving off the RRP.

The Land Rover Freelander fits everything in the boot thanks to its huge size, the interior is durable enough to stop the kids from ruining it but nice enough for us adults to feel relatively luxurious. Really it's just a good all-rounder for anyone who has things to carry and kids to look after.

I'd happily recommend one but do so knowing running costs aren't going to be the greatest. It is a 4x4 at the end of the day, so expect to pay 4x4 money for it. Petrol is its biggest issue, so I'd probably recommend buying a diesel version.
