LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT 4.2 V8 Supercharged 5dr Auto (2005)

Range Rover Sport - Not just a 4x4

This car really does take everything in it's stride. Whether it's the school run or, in the wilds of rural Devon, towing a less fortunate motorist from the ditch they ended up in during last winters shocking weather.

Combine that with the acceleration and handling you'd expect from a two seater sports car and you end up with the Ranger Rover sport V8. I cannot stress how easy this car is to drive, if you're just heading for the shops it handles like your average family hatchback but open the taps and it turns into a different beast altogether.

It has an interior that you'd expect from Range Rover, luxurious without being ostentatious and with plenty of wood and leather. Mine cost me a little over 25k a year ago and for that i've got a car that, when new, would have set me back the best part of 70k. On the downside she's rather thirsty and I'm going to have to take out a new mortgage when the tyres need changing, so if it's economy you're after then the Ranger Rover isn't for you but if you're after a car that combines the practicality of an estate with the thrill of a sports car then look no further than the Ranger Rover sport.
