LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER 3.0 Td6 SE 4dr Auto (2002)

The Range Rover 3.0 TD6 SE Beast

Owning a Range Rover in today's climate is questionable, but when you actually need a car with a considerable amount of space and lots of torque, then I think it's justified. My Range Rover has rarely let me down in over 6 years of ownership, and while it does cost me an arm and a leg to run, i wouldn't change it for anything from BMW or Audi.

One of the best aspects of the Range Rover 3.0 TD6 is probably the sound system. It's a Harmond Cardon system and it's incredible. You get huge bass, lots of clarity and quite a bit of customisation. Inside, there's lots of lovely leather and wood - the Range Rover has one of the best interiors on sale today. Fact.

Outside, it still looks good even though it's getting on a bit. It's big, chunky and full of character - something the Germans can't buy for nothing. If you want pure power, there's a 5.0-litre V8 option, but I'm not that rich so I left that box unticked.

Basically, if you want a car that appeals to everyone, then this isn't it. But if you want a car that you can use in every situation, then the Range Rover 3.0 Diesel is the motor for you.
