MAZDA 6 1.8 TS 5dr (2007)

Good for families

I got my Mazda 6 because I genuinely think it looks good. I thought many people would agree with me, but to my surprise many have told me they think it’s quite ‘plain’ and ‘boring’. Nonetheless, I really like the styling and I think it has certain premium look about it over all of the other run of the mill cars in this class.

Biggest pain in the backside: Blackpool Illuminations as soon as you get in. All of the lights dance around and then you get a daft little tune as you start the engine. This isn’t very cool and one thing I would kill off for the next generation. Sometimes you just want to get in a car and go without the hassle so this is quite annoying. The rest of the cabin is pretty good I think, its of high-quality as well which makes it a nice place to drive. There is plenty of room in the back for two and three at a push but not a good idea for very long journeys. Mpg normally hits somewhere in the 30s and the other running costs are reasonable.

The Mazda 6 is quite a good drive as well. It is very easy to drive quickly if you want to but it’s also good at a more relaxing ride, you sort of get the best of both worlds. I’d say if you want to drive fast, you need to have a near-empty load. If you have a few more in the back and a bootful of stuff, you really notice the difference higher up the gears.
