ML55 AMG **FANTASTIC CAR** ALL THE BOXES TICKED FOR UNDER 10 GRAND!

My first venture into the world of 4x4's was always going to be a knackered old Landy. Living in the sticks meant I needed something "practical" to get out in. The more I thought about it though, the more I realised how I wanted something much quicker and more luxurious to get about in and more importantly, something that wasn't going to be a "project". A tough ask on a limited budget! To cut a long story short, I ended up buying a 2002 ML 55 AMG and I have to say, in terms of boxes ticked, it's the best car i've ever owned. You have to drive it to believe it's incredible performance whilst having the feeling of being in a luxury limo! The car I have has leather heated seats, sat nav, upgraded BOSE sound system, DVD with rear headrest screens, sunroof, climate control, front fog lights, rear privacy glass, side bars, AMG alloys, split folding rear seats and with them both folded down, an amazing amount of space to shift furniture etc. Whilst beating most hot hatches off the line, this car also has a low ratio gear box for off road and in the snow we've been having in recent years, it hasn't put a foot wrong, calmly wafting past everyone else stuck in drifts or spinning arouond. For 10 grand, I can't think of another car that could achieve all this. I can thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants a car that looks good, has awesome performance but still all the practicality of a 4x4. The 5.5L V8 engine also sounds great and the only downside in this day and age is the cost of fuel. At 22mpg it's going to cost more than a Toyota Prius but my mileage is relatively low, so over a year, it doesn;t make a massive difference... And I know who's getting more smiles per gallon!
