MERCEDES-BENZ VANEO 1.7 CDI Family 5dr Tip Auto (2002)

The Mercdes Vaneo - almost a van. Eo.

Strangely enough I wanted a Mercedes Viano and ended up buying a Mercedes Vaneo. Not sure what the main differences are but the Vaneo has a slightly funnier name. I was offered an extra two seats when I bought this thing but I declined as it hardly fits in my garage as it is!

I opted for the 1.7 CDi, after actually test driving the 1.6. The 1.6 I found to be a bit of a struggle. It didn't seem to be quite comfortable enough pulling along the heavy bulk of the car. But the 1.7 CDi Vaneo, I will say, is a bit noisier (maybe I'm just imagining it), and still strains a bit if you've got the whole family on board. The handling is not to my taste, it's a bit too over-responsive.

There is a lot of room in my Mercedes Vaneo. It's a big car and it feels like a luxury car. I am happy with it, but it's certainly not perfect. The thing I like is the versatility in the seats, which is pretty handy because it can act as a van or an MPV. All round not bad.
