PEUGEOT PARTNER TEPEE 1.6 HDi 90 Outdoor 5dr [7 Seats] (2009)
Peugeot Partner Tepee - It's got a lot of space and is cheap to run
My partner and I got the Peugeot Partner Tepee when we had twins after two kids, argh!! We were careful and looked around quite a lot, and in the end went for the Partner Teepee because of its petrol use compared to other people carriers. We certainly haven't been upset on that count, it gets about 55-60mpg on longer drives, less in town but still really good.
It's nice and comfy wherever you sit in it, at least according to the kids, and the sliding doors at the side make it really simple to get to the babies in their kiddy seats. All the kids can actually stand up straight in the car, although the eldest probably won't be able to do that for much longer. I suppose the two dinky seats in the back wouldn't be any good for grown up, and maybe not for bigger children actually, but they're fine for what we use them for.
Obviously for a chunky car this size, the boot is really big, and if you take the back seats out then it's basically a van. We used the Peugeot Tepee to help our friend move house, and it got pretty much everything in two trips. We don't often remove the seats, but if we did then I might be a bit tired of having to actually remove them from the car completely - they don't just fold away. That also means you need a garage, which we haven't got, so whenever we do need to take them out they end up tossed in the back room. Worth mentioning that with all seven seats in there isn't really much boot space, but we just use the roof rack. There's really loads of other little storage spaces though, so if we've got time we're able to make good use of those, including little spaces in the floor! Just under the foot space of the back passengers, you just flip up a little lid in the floor and there's space for all their lunches and drinks.
It's a family car through and through really though, great for us, especially for longer trips. What we sometimes do (don't laugh at this!) is get a little travel loo and keep it in the back, then if we get stranded and can't find a loo for the girls, they can go in the travel loo. It's not perfect but on a long drive down endless motorways (two holidays abroad for example) it's been better for them than squatting at the roadside, which they're getting a bit too old for now - but not too old to need the loo desperately between service stations!
