RENAULT TWINGO 1.6 VVT Renaultsport 133 3dr (2008)
The Renault Twingo - pretty but vacant.
I'm rather obsessed with 'superminis' and the Reanault Twingo one in a long line of such cars that I've owned. Overall I would rank it about average, perhaps slightly below, but I certainly don't regret buying it. I've heard complains about how it looks but personally I'd say it's one of the better looking cars on the road. It has a certain 'retro' charm about it, a cubiness which appeals to me.
Performance-wise it's nothing to get too excited about, I chose the Twingo 1.6 VVT which is certainly at the top end perhaps the best one actually) and it produces about 130bhp. It requires quite a bit of muscle to get it going properly but it's actually quite formidable once it goes. Inside it's fairly noisy and the interiors are terribly cheap and tacky looking.
The Twingo is fairly reliable and stands at a pretty good price but I wouldn't really recommend it over most comparable cars. Probably the most appealing aspect of the Twingo is the looks but if you're not positively obsessed with superminis as I am, you'll probably want to opt for the only-slightly-pricier Renault Clio.
