SKODA ROOMSTER 1.4 16V 2 5dr (2006)

The best package that does everything brilliantly

Never in a million years did I think I’d own a Skoda, never in a billion years did I think I'd write a review saying how good a Skoda is. But here I am, with the Roomster. It does look a bit strange, I’ll give you that but all of those strange design cues add up to create something which does everything brilliantly, there is not one bit of styling that does not lead to a practical advantage. As you can probably tell, I have much praise for this car.

There is so much room inside, particularly at the back, it’s almost hard to believe. The two main rear seats are huge and there is a fixed middle seat that can be used but we use it as an arm rest – has cup holders too. The boot is incredible and the seats moving in all sorts of directions help this – they literally do everything. The real beauty is that within 10 minutes, you can remove the rear seats and you have yourself a full-size van. Phenomenal.

For the kit that you get, I think the price is also quite good. We have electric windows, air-con, big alloys and remote locking, all very useful stuff. Expect 35mpg+ which is good for running costs.

There is ultimate comfort in the drive as well, even on slightly longer journeys. The strangest thing about this car is that it’s quite a good drive, even the handling is good and it is just a good car to drive, hard to believe but true.

Skoda really have taken everything good about a car and thrown it altogether to create a fantastic "roomster" package.
