SUBARU LEGACY 2.5 SE 4dr Auto (2007)

The Subaru Legacy - a mixed bag.

I wanted an MPV and the Subaru Legacy is what I ended up with, not a bad compromise actually as it's really reliable, performs well, is really surprisingly fuel efficient and handles well enough for my modest purposes. It's kind of ugly, if you ask me, but I prefer a more feminine model. It looks sort of American and I can't stand American cars.

One problem, and I've noticed a few reviews which mention this, is the gearbox. I wish, I wish, I wish I had gone for manual. My automatic version was very strange and confusing at first. Subaru have tried to implement some sort of 'learning' gearbox which adjusts to suit your style. I won't go into details and I'm used to it now but I will say this: avoid!

Other than that it costs ludicrous amounts to service. But as it's so reliable and pretty efficient I guess I'm saving in this way. Overall the Subaru Legacy SE is a really nice drive and surprisingly roomy so I can't complain
