The latest news in the credit card market has just been released. RBS has closed the door on any new customers that don't bank directly with RBS however, Sainsbury's has increased its 0% offering from 3 months to 10 months on balance transfers and also cut its interest rates from 16.9% to 15.9%.
If you're looking for the best 0% balance transfer on the market at the moment then Virgin are leading the field with 16 months interest free followed by Santander with 15 months interest free. In total there are now 170+ credit cards offering a 0% interest free rate to entice you to apply.
If you bank with RBS then you can still apply for a credit card with them which is good news for their customers. The rate though isn't the best so make sure you shop around to get the best deal that suits your circumstances.
In the view of the netcars.co.uk panel the best overall credit card at the moment is the Virgin Credit card due to its good rates and flexibility.
