Ferrari launches 458 Challenge

We all love a fast Ferrari, and what could be better, an even faster Ferrari? Yes, oh god yes. The 458 Challenge will be Ferrari’s lightweight swansong and will compete in the one-make series next year.
Power stands at 562bhp – which is the same as the road car – but it is weight that makes this 458 such a class act. Ferrari has managed to shed a fair chunk off the kerb weight of the original – they won’t tell us how much yet – but the weight loss is evident with a Fiorano lap time that is two seconds quicker than the standard 458.
No word yet whether a 458 Scuderia will ever grace us with its presence, but let’s keep our fingers crossed, eh?
