Special edition Fiat 500c shows that taste is priceless
21/01/2011
We’ve seen quite a few special edition Fiat 500s in the past few years. Some were very good, some weren’t. One of our favourites was the Ferrari designed 500 – we liked that a lot. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm for specced up 500s has took a downward spiral after seeing the Fiat Abarth 500C by Fenice Milano. It calls it the “La Dolce Vita Gold and Diamonds 200hp”. Have you ever heard such rubbish in your entire life? That, my friends, is not a name for a car – it sounds like a bottle of champagne, never mind a car!
Anyhoo, what do you say about a car that has everything but taste? How about some facts and figures? Let’s do that, after all, it’s just a 500c with a few touches here and a bit of sprinkling there; it can’t be that expensive, can it? Well, if you want the Fenice Milano on your drive, you’re going to need £422,000. Shocking isn’t it. Like, properly shocking in a way that makes you want to go and hug your own car for being so cheap. We don’t have a clue what the pricing is all about either. Sure, there is gold and diamonds inside and out, but do you really want that on a car?
