BMW to make new MINI in UK

Some more great news for the British car industry as German giant, BMW, confirmed it will be building the new generation of MINI in the UK. According to the Bavarians, BMW will invest £500m into its car manufacturing facilities over the next three years to accommodate the new model.
Prime Minister David Cameron was quoted: "I welcome this major investment by BMW Group in UK manufacturing.
"The MINI plant in Oxford has been one of our great manufacturing success stories, they should be hugely proud of their achievements. They have shown once again that the UK is a major player in the global automotive industry."
The announcement will please MINI’s workers as BMW has said that it will secure over 5000 jobs between the plants at Oxford, Swindon and Hams Hall.
