£43,000 may not be an unbelievably price tag for a car to sell at auction, especially as Chris Evans typically spends millions on his auction cars, but give this one a chance, because, well, it’s cute. This little 1960’s Daimler police car went under the hammer and was sold to Le Mans racer Win Percy, and marks a world record for a Daimler of this type.

New owner Percy said: "Although my role at Goodwood is a labour of love, I am effectively there to police driving standards, so what better way to keep an eye on proceedings than from behind the dash of an ex-constabulary car?"

And we couldn’t agree more. It’s probably one of the most beautiful police cars we’ve ever seen.
