Stunning new Mercedes SL pictures leak

The long-awaited replacement for Mercedes-Benz’s SL has finally been unveiled – albeit after a leak on the internet. The new SL has finally been given the beauty it deserves, after the last model’s rather shocking mid-life update managed to turn a Halle Berry into the Elephant Man. As you can see, this new SL is one handsome brute; with touches of old but yet managing to stay thoroughly modern. We like it.

We also like the SL 500 model which features a 4.7-litre V8 with 429bhp. If Santa is listening, this is the SL we’d like for Christmas, thanks very much. But it’s not all about the power, as Mercedes has gone to town on the interior, too. It now looks like a seriously desirable drop-top all-rounder, rather than just a car that looks pretty for hairdressers in Essex.
