An ultra-rare, super-sexy 1957 Ferrari 410 Superamerica Scaglietti Coupe – and breathe – has sold for £1.1m at auction. The car, which is about as rare as hen’s teeth, sold at an auction in Arizona to a man who is presumably rather rich.
The Superamerica is one of just 34 built, meaning it’s one of the rarest Ferraris in the world. And what’s more, the 410 looks as if it’s been built for Batman himself, with those superb rear wings that are so ‘50’s it’s unreal.
The price tag isn’t surprising, as it seems almost every rare or old Ferrari is selling for mega bucks these days, but the question remains: would you shell out over £1m for a 60 year old car?
