As brands go, Aixam isn’t household known, but they have been praised for being eye-opening and innovative. Aixam cars are ideal for getting around town, but if your aspirations lie with speed, performance and desirability, then look elsewhere. However, the key to an Aixam is city use and if you need a vehicle for urban or local use, Aixam cars are could be an alternative choice. What you win on the swings, however, you definitely lose on the roundabout, as a top speed of 65 mph isn’t exactly going to win any drag races. Aixam’s are Motability accredited, which means they are easy to get in and out of, and can be purchased with a Motability Allowance – which is good if you need a small, easy to park city car.

In most European countries, Aixam cars can be driven without a license as per current EU regulations – this is because they are actually classed as a ‘quadracycle’  Sadly the UK government has not yet seen fit to implement the appropriate legislation, and you will require a full driving license - a motorcycle license will also suffice – to drive one.
