If you've never owned a supercar before, you might think they're all like the Aston Martin Vanquish. I have owned several, and I can tell you that they are not. What I mean by this is that they're not all fuel-hungry, impractical, high-maintainance and vulgar. But the Aston Martin is all of these things.
Judging it by those things on which a supercar should really be judged, the Vanquish is of course superb. It looks beautiful, I have yet to see a car manufacturer that makes cars as beautiful as the Aston Martin. It can also perform beautifully, with an achievable top speed of 200mph. It also handles beautifully and feels beautiful to drive.
Beautiful all-round then, except for the particulars. I don't have much to worry about money-wise and fuel is a tiny part of my overall budget. But I don't have a petrol station on site and the time taken between refills on the Aston Martin Vanquish is simply inconvenient. There are far more 'ownable' supercars out there on the market and it may be worth finding one.
