I am a busy woman and I don't need to be messing about with a car that clunks along at 80. I really loved this car (had one 2006-8) for that reason, and others besides. Apart from the immense speed and power (4.6 V8, not bad!), it is surprisingly comfy for a sports car, especially in winter when things like heated seats come in very handy.
I suppose it was a bit fuel thirsty, and obviously tax and insurance were a bit high, but those weren't issues for me. I just loved the speed, comfort and also the look of the thing.
One thing I always really liked about it was the touchscreen panel on the dash, really made it look and feel clean and elegant.
The real downside was the boot space in the XLR but i suppose that's not what i bought it for ;-) My partner and I struggled to get our stuff in there for trips away, and I sometimes had a hard time getting bits and pieces in there if I was travelling for work (especially if I had a presentation board with me). Still, those details aside a good fun, solid, comfy performance car. (Be warned it drinks fuel)
