Chevrolet Camaro 5.7 V8 Z28 2dr (1998)
Chevvy Camaro - Super car, super cheap, super reliable

I don't actually have my Chevrolet Camaro anymore, I, er, ran it into a ditch. Not the car's fault, my stupid behaviour. It was amazing for the time I had it though, and I was almost as scared for the car as I was for myself as I careered off the road! Sigh... they're rare too, so I haven't found another one. I doubt I'll get one now as we're a bit more sort of sedate drivers these days, but it was good while it lasted. So first of all I was surprised, to say the least, about the up front price second hand. It compared in price to dull family saloons but test drove like a sports car. I haven't actually driven a proper sports car to be fair, never had the money, but the Camaro came in under budget and was just too much fun to pass up. I didn't get it straight away, though I might be buying a lemon, but I read up some reviews and it didn't seem to be falling to pieces for anyone. After that I had about five years of happy motoring. In terms of my budget I lost a lot of money writing the damn thing off (only had third party for some reason back then) but I don't think they would have lost too much by now given how rare they are. I might be wrong though. As for how it drives, it's a real rocket down a straight line, but be careful when you tug the steering wheel at speed. It doesn't like surprises and won't really forgive you for them. It's not dangerous, just doesn't take any nonsense. Careful with bumps on the road too, it's a low slung vehicle and the underbelly can get scraped easily. The Chevrolet Camaro looks like a sports car and feels pretty sporty inside, but that's not to say the back seats are only for kids and amputees like a lot of those sorts of cars. They're ok, not that big, but ok. For the two up front it's nice and comfy, or at least I remember it that way, but it might be different for the driver as it's so exciting to drive! The boot is an ok size too, dunno about the golf clubs test but we never really had a problem going on holiday with it and that sort of thing (this was before we had a child though, things might be different now!). Last thing: as with all Chevrolets I think, the Camaro takes a LOT of petrol, so beware.
