I'll start with the problems, might as well be up front about it! The C4 Picasso VTR is a good car but I should mention these first. Also to say it's been a little bit of a bother getting the dealer to do the work and also to refund me for the costs under the warranty.
So there was a seat frame in the back that needed doing. Some sort of air filter or thing under the bonnet, and two jobs on the suspension. These were all within the first 18 months or so. There were some other little bits and pieces, like a problem with the locks. In fairness it's been fine since, and it doesn't feel like anything else is going to go wrong, but it never does, does it!
Apart from the repairs it is a great family car. Loads and loads and loads of lovely space inside, what a difference from our old Corsa! It makes clever use of space and isn't that enormous on the outside, but it is quite big. It's wide too, easy to misjudge the dimensions. I've nearly nicked things before, and have got a few very small scrapes along the sides. Mind you it's very easy to see all around, very good visibility. The big glass roof is really nice too, so airy, makes it feel even more roomy.
Another good thing is that the three back seats are all individually set up so you can pop them up or fold them down separately, which is good for having different arrangements of people and stuff in the back, which we've had before.
Up front, the information screen with the speedo and things is very clever. You can even choose what different info you want to be displayed, long gone are the old dials! It's got loads and loads of other clever and useful gadgets here and there, I especially like the cruise control and the way you can change the aircon in different parts of the car. There are loads of others, and despite the problems it's been a great car so far.
