I bought the Citroen Synergie because it satisfied my two main criteria - it seats a shedfull of kids and it has a diesel option. It looks more like an old-school minivan than a modern MPV - it's a long way away from the Citroen Picasso or something more contemporary - but I figured the boxy shape and eight seats would make up for this in terms of practicality. And it's true that the Synergie is very practical. The back seats are essentially in the boot - you can take them out and get yourself a lot of room for carrying inanimate objects or animals, or leave them in if you want to carry children or a few fairly petite people. This is perfect for me as my business means I have to transport people and my personal life means I have to transport stuff. Other than this though, there are few frills that would make the Citroen Synergie desirable for many other punters. The driving position is a bit annoying, the performance struggles a little and the handling is a bit stiff. Still, it works for me.
