Fond memories of this old Korean classic. It would start up first time whatever the weather. It was safe and reliable and could easily withstand my regular jaunts up to Scotland and back. It barely needed a thing doing to it over all the years I owned it - a new exhaust was about it as far as I can remember. I shall always remember my Daewoo Lanos as a car that, even to the end, never failed me. I remember coming out one morning in Carlisle when it must have been about -10 or something, getting inside and dreading an hour-long battle struggling to get her started. Imagine my amazement when I simply turned the key and heard the engine chugging up. Sadly it's with regret that I had to say goodbye to my Daewoo Lanos (Dave) a few days ago. I had a minor collision and decided that rather than pay out for repairs it was time to throw in the towel and bid him adieu. So RIP Dave and thanks for all the good times - you were a great car.
