You won't have seen many Diahatsui Copens on the road - and with good reason. The Copen is ridiculously small. It's a considerable amount smaller than the so-called 'MINI', and as a result, only really appeals to small women.
I've had my Daihatsu Copen for a few years now and, despite the small size, it's never really put a foot wrong. I've owned quite a few droptops and I'd have to say this one is the best. Because it's so light, the little turbocharged engine doesn't have to work that hard, so you actually get decent performance.
There's little practicality in the Copen, but what do you expect from such a little car? Many people will laugh, many will be interested, but few will own one. And it's that exclusivity that appeals so much to me.
The Copen is like a Mini mixed in sme old classic Porsche design (rear).
I really liked it a lot because it reads freedom, especially with the hood off. I've always drive it on a great summer's day roof off and along the country roads. That feeling really revitalises me.
I liked its compactness so it was easy for me to find parking spaces, and easy to manoeuvre.
It does come with its bad point. Small boot, almost none existant when the roof comes down.
Its a 2 seater, which leave you no choice but to choose who you can send home after a girly night out.
Always good car to have if you have a double garage.
