Dodge cars are so taken with the simple idea of its big powerful engine that they have decided to put back in one variant of their Dodge Ram trucks – almost exactly back where it came from, in fact. It’s a pity we won’t see the Ram on these shores, as it’s the world’s fastest production pick-up and looks as insane as it sounds - but back to the Dodge Viper. If you compare it to other sports convertibles, it looks a lot bigger, not so much in length but in the sheer width – 6 foot 3 inches of it, to be precise. That’s almost as wide as a Testarossa, and they are seriously wide. If Dodge set out to make a visual statement there is no doubt they have succeeded. In the US, Dodge cars are well known as a producer of muscle cars, and the Dodge Viper is almost the perfect epitome of the American muscle car – a big machine with a massive displacement and huge performance.
