The Fiat Barchetta is a very rare car. Other than mine, I've only ever seen 2 others on the road. This is a nice feeling to know, but does it mean that it's rubbish? Not quite.
It's a good little car, nothing more, nothing less. It's not an amazing sports car and it's not a bad one, it's just in the middle. There are a lot of faults: it's not well made, isn't that reliable and it's anything but big. But there are positives: it's quick, light and nimble.
There's no room for passengers or luggage, so you'd better be single, and don't even think about having kids!
It's quite comfortable for a sports car and the running costs aren't that bad either, probably thanks to it's low kerb weight. It's basically a good little sports car for girls who want to look cool and stylish.
The Fiat Barchetta is one of the rarest cars ever made by Fiat - mainly because nobody bought one. The little sporty coupe was a cutey but not amazingly equipt or amazingly technical, and it was this issue that meant not a lot of people bought one.
I decided I wanted a Barchetta because it was really cute, really small and really happy. It was a great car throughout my time with it, and despite it breaking down quite a few times, it still managed to keep me smiling for a few years.
The engine isn't really powerful but because the Fiat is so light, it doesn't really matter. It's just really agile and really easy to drive. You can take it to the shops and park it up but still look stylish while doing so.
