Honda Jazz 1.4 i-DSi SE 5dr (2004)
Honda Jazz - not what I expected.

I am used to German cars but buying a Honda Jazz I thought, OK, Japanese, should be fairly good quality too, at least it’s not Italian or something. Wrong! I had completely the wrong impression. I really thought that Japanese cars were supposed to be top quality but unfortunately I was disappointed by the Honda Jazz. It’s not that the Jazz is a bad car, it’s just that it feels cheap, and having driven BMWs and Audis all my life this is not something I’m used to. The road noise really penetrates the cabin and it sounds really cheap and metallic. Drive along a road which is being resurfaced and it sounds like you’re trapped in a popcorn machine. Driving with the heating on in the rain results in steamed up windows. It’s just not what I paid for. Other than these things (actually kind of minor in the grand scale of things), it’s OK. It drives fairly well, it does pretty good mpg, it looks great. The performance is also really good, which I hadn’t expected with my stereotypical views on Japanese cars! I guess I should be less prejudiced.

Honda Jazz - Fab little machine

I'm actually getting the impression that the Honda Jazz is sort of an older people's car, cos that's who I mostly see driving it. I'm not really sure why, it really goes like stink when it wants to! Granted, I only had an old Punto before this, but still it feels pretty nippy to me. My partner isn't convinced, but he's a silly boy so poo to him. First thing I liked about the Honda Jazz above other cars that I think are supposed to appeal to me, like the Ford KA or whatever, is that it's nice and tall, really really easy to see all round. I really can't stand big blind spots. I drove an Astra for a few days once and MY GOD so dangerous! I couldn't see a thing! No such bother in the Honda Jazz, lovely big windows, and you get to sit quite high up too. It's dead easy to park as well. It looks a little bit bigger than other girly cars, but it's just because it's tall. Really parking a Honda Jazz couldn't be simpler. Tiny little turning circle as well, simple. Lots of things inside it that I really love. The phone controls on the steering wheel REALLY threw me to begin with, but I'm quite good with it now. Stereo controls up there too, very handy once you get used to it, but practice at low speeds first! The double glove box set up is really practical, we've always got it stuffed full of this or that, and it means we don't have things on display anymore, which I was always worried about with previous cars after we got broken into once. No repairs needed so far, but my baby is only about 2 years old. Mind you I've known people need lots of repairs long before that. All in all, Honda Jazz gets my thumbs up, even if it wasn't an obvious choice at first.

The Honda Jazz - pricey but full of surprises.

I bought a Honda Jazz just the other day so I thought I'd jump on here and tell the world about it. Personally I think it's cute as a button but that's a bit patronising as it's also a really proper good car in its own right. It wasn't as cheap as I'd hoped and it's not perfect but I'm very pleased with my purchase. Firstly, looking at the car you expect it to be cramped, but nothing could be further from the truth. In fact it's probably the roomiest car I've ever owned. And some of those cars took up a lot more space on my drive! This was the clincher for me as I really wanted something practical. As for how it drives, I have no complaints. It seems to be able to handle itself very well on the motorway and the ride is very smooth. The engine is noisier than I expected but I like the sound so I don't mind! There are some really cool touches which make this car appealing. You can mess around with the parcel shelf in all kinds of crazy ways and the seats go down really easily, for instance. It's also got SIX airbags. Peace of mind there. As I say it wasn't cheap but you do get qutite a lot for your money.

Honda Jazz - Great for the older generations

I really do love my Honda Jazz. It has a bit of a reputation for being an old person's car, but really it's just a great car owned by people looking for something reliable but well built. And that's exactly what the Jazz is. It's got a bulletproof engine capable of doing 100,000 miles without even flinching. It's by far and away the best thing about it and I love knowing it will never break down - touch wood. Inside there's plenty of room, space and air. The Jazz feels a much bigger car than it actually is, and if you get the 5 door it's even better. tax is tiny, insurance is fine and petrol costs are reasonable! I'd recommend going for the diesel version as Honda's diesels are absolutely superb and will satisfy the most unconvinced petrolhead. Just a brilliant car.

Honda Jazz - A reliable solider

I bought my Honda Jazz in 2008 because I wanted something reliable, roomy and comfortable. The Honda dealer offered me a great deal, and after a test drive, I decided the Jazz was the car for me. The boot is spacious and will happily take the holiday luggage without complaining, and the interior is robust and comfortable. It's perfect for taking the grandchildren to school, and while it may not be the best looking car on the planet, it's not embarrasing enough for the children to not want to ride upfront. I often get more than 55mpg from the Honda Jazz - which isn't bad for a 1.4 diesel. If economy is your main priority, then a small-engined Jazz would fit the bill perfectly.

Family Car Honda Jazz 2010

The 2010 Honda Jazz is a small segment with a total length of about 3,900 mm, but with a smaller wheelbase to provide ample back seat leg. There was a slight improvement in width for the year 2010, which in turn provides a larger space side too. Two adult passengers or three children can sit in the back seat. Due to flexible / folding seats, cabin increased in 2010 by Jazz in good measure. In 2010 Honda Jazz 1.4 has economically and petrol engines of 1.2 liters that will live up to expectations among car owners on a budget. The previous version used the technology with two valves i-DSI, but the car makes use of current generation four-valve i-VTEC technology. Both engines used by this car have good power and torque with fuel economy attractive. These motors are quiet, especially at high speed and the driver or passengers cannot hear any screeching sound produced by the engine.
