I used to have one of these funny little cars and I got no end of stick from my mates for it. The Isuzu Piazza looks like a wheelie bin crossed with a cheese grater. But at the time it was actually a pretty high performance car and a good little runner, too.
The Piazza was lovely to drive with great cornering, really responsive and kind of 'friendly' handling, as I remember. It was always pretty reliable to me too, although I spent a couple of hundred quid on refurbishing it when I first bought it as the electrics were pretty dodgy. I also noticed a fair amount of rust around wheel arches etc., but I think that the last owner hadn't driven it much.
It was fairly powerful with a nice little acceleration boost and had a very practical hatchback. The driving seat was immensely uncomfortable though and I blamed it for having done my back in at one point. Altogether, though, a very rare and unique little car with a lot going for it.
