My Jag V12 is just the business mate! It's easily the best car I;'ve ever owned for one single reason - the v12! It's a monster engine from a time when engines were allowed to be powerful and not care about emissions or saving the planet. As a result, the XJS is still a quick car and can keep up with considerably more modern and powerful cars. I love ruining young boy's lives when I pull up to the lights and blast them away with my V12 fury. Inside it's less successful. The wood and leather is aging quite badly and it looks about as modern as David Dickinson, but that;s all part of owning an early 90s Jag I suppose. If you want one, I'd recommend buying one that's been considerably well looked after, as the XJS can rust a hell of a lot. So be careful with that. Also make sure you can afford to run it, because it takes a lot of petrol!
Probably one of the classic cars in British history. The Jaguar XJS was in production for over twenty years! Mine is the '88 model and personally I think this is amongst the classics of the range. My Jaguar XJS is still my pride and joy. There are dissenters who say that it's ugly but personally I think the XJS is the best thing Jaguar ever came up with. I suppose it's because I like American cars that the very long and curved bonnet really appeals to me. And the powerhouse that's under it is also pretty impressive. The dash is strictly old-school - the dials are pretty primitive but the leather and wood interiors are great in every sense - it even smells good. This car was ahead of its time in terms of control and handling and you really feel the responsiveness and hold it has on the road. This is my favourite thing about the Jag XJS. I'm very proud to own one and I think it's a worthy piece of British motoring history.
