Ok it's a bit of a girly car but whatever, I've got the last laugh when I'm getting petrol or not doing loads of repairs every other week. My little Myvi is a brilliant car, and I wouldn't swap it for anything. On the thing about petrol, I get about 55-60 miles a gallon on motorways, which is enough to bring a smile to my face every time I drive it. I car about the environment but I also car about money! Speaking of which, the Myvi is so wonderfully cheap to buy in the first place too. It's a small car but that definitely doesn't mean it loses itself on motorways and things, it's easily trundled along at 80 and even 90 before, I sometimes have to remind myself what speed I'm doing!
My husband is a bit annoyed about the stereo because it's not a standard size so he's not going to be able to replace it with another one that will be able to take his USB stick with music on. I'm quite chuffed about that in a way though cos the buttons on this stereo are really big and spaced out nicely, much better than a tiny little panel.
It's quite clever with storage space inside too, although I'm not a big fan of the little space underneath the stereo. If it was tilted back a bit then it might be better but as it is things can just fall out of it a bit too easily. The boot is BIG BIG BIG.. I mean it's a small car and everything but on a scale of things it is a lovely big boot. Lots of space for the week's shopping and pram too.
It's just really easy to drive as well. The gearbox isn't all cranky and moody and the steering circle is lovely and small. I never stall it either (quite something for me!), and the air conditioning was a nice surprise for such a cheap car. It's lovely and comfy to drive, certainly doesn't complain too much on bumps and tracks and uneven places.
I haven't had any repairs need doing yet but then it is very new and I'd be disappointed if it needed anything doing just yet. Mind you I've certainly known people with new cars that needed things fixing almost right away, so it's a good sign that this isn't complaining yet. I'm really pleased with it, I hope it stays happy :)
